saints1884 Posted August 31, 2006 Report Share Posted August 31, 2006 I have just ran a ewido scan of my pc,and all these tracking cookies are on there(130 of them). They are all medium threat. Is there any way of getting rid of them from my pc?Thank you for your help.Edit: I didn't know where to post this,I hope this is the right place. and deleted them,but as I said they just keep comming back again when I do a full scan of my pc. I never get more than a dozen or so in a week. Are you visiting music download sites? If so you are lucky if tracking cookies are all that you have picked up. Make a note of the sites that appear to leave these nasties.I haven't been on any music/dvd download websites,just the normal ones for me like football websites and sims websites. The type of program that does this are those that offer free download and scan, then demand that you pay for the program to have the problems deleted. Be thankful that the program is finding these problems for you. I have scrapped Spybot S & D and adaware some time ago. I now use A squared and SUPERAntispyware, but Ewido is a first class program, it is just that my computer fell out with it after a time and started to freeze during a scan. The type of program that does this are those that offer free download and scan, then demand that you pay for the program to have the problems deleted. Be thankful that the program is finding these problems for you. I have scrapped Spybot S & D and adaware some time ago. I now use A squared and SUPERAntispyware, but Ewido is a first class program, it is just that my computer fell out with it after a time and started to freeze during a scan.Thank you for the advice,I will give the programmes you suggested a try.Thank you again.
