Autocomplete woes

Hello!

I have Windows XP and am using Internet Explorer. I've got Autocomplete turned on, yet it doesn't want to remember any key words for some reason, when I type them in. (I'm thinking specifically for descriptions of item on E-bay for instance). Is there something I missed doing or is something overiding the autocomplete.

I was under the impression that autocomplete in IE was restricted to filling addresses and user name/password.

There was Inline Autocomplete in Windows 2K which predicted words and completed them but I don't think it's installed in WXP.

Have you had this working before? Do you know that the facility you describe is a feature of WXP/IE or are you thinking of a similar capability in text messaging in mobile phones (cell phones) ?

Auto complete only suggests addresses and pass words for me as pops says. It certainly doesn't try to fill in other items, nor would I want it to.

Another point is that if you are filling in an eBay description box you are not using IE, you are using the eBay html converter where your typed text is automatically converted into html to enable it to appear.

It seemed to be working before. I turned on Autocomplete a while back and it was remembering the words, now it seems it doesn't want to anymore. If this is a feature of E-bay html convertor then it's sporadic, or is there a field in the e-bay site to allow this conversion to happen? By the way, thanks to all of you that took time to respond.
