BBC not playing fair

This morning, as I was just idly scanning tonights offerings on TV, just to reinforce my view that there is never any thing offered that is worth the effort of pushing the ON button, I was astounded to see that BBC2 are doing a six part "Searching for Howard Carter in Tutenkhamuns Tomb" or some such thing.

However, I was certain that it was channel 5's turn to do the Howard Carter/Lord Windermere thing next, followed by ITV1. How is it possible for things to get so muddled?
