amferraro Posted October 2, 2006 Report Share Posted October 2, 2006 Hello,I know that I have no BIOS password set. I've confirmed this with several BIOS password cracking programs. Yet, when I try to load the BIOS off of a reboot, it asks for an administrator password. I tried several things that I thought it might be, as well as not entering anything and pressing enter, and nothing seems to work. -pops- Posted October 2, 2006 Report Share Posted October 2, 2006 You could try resetting the BIOS. To do this remove the motherboard battery and use the reset switch or jumper set which is most likely located close to the battery fitment. Ensure you set the switch or jumper set back to their original positions before replacing the battery. Doing the above will remove ALL previous BIOS settings and replace them with the BIOS default so if you have made any alterations to the default settings, make a note of them before doing this procedure.You will need to reset the internal real time clock as well.
