Guest moon Posted July 2, 2003 Report Share Posted July 2, 2003 I recycle stuff thrown out of offices to get peeps online, pensioners, paupers etc. I've just been given a newish HP 990cxi which suffered a major ink flood when its cartridge split. doug Posted July 2, 2003 Report Share Posted July 2, 2003 A few suggestions.Try using IPA iso-propyl alchol if you can get any at a reasonable price.If not use meths. All Hp carts. have inbuilt heads, as far as I know, but I'd be putting in new ones anyway. It's not possible to run it until I've cleaned it so I can't say what it prints like. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'll protect the electronics as best I can ( although there's a guy at the Pit that periodically washes his keyboard and hangs it out to dry ! :) ) and go with the warm water and cloth idea.
