Rexisfed
Only a few days ago, I was able to play sound out of my computer's speakers while running Sound Recorder, and it would record whatever the speakers played. Today, however, it's mysteriously stopped picking up what I play out of the speakers. How can I fix this?

-pops-
Have you made any changes to our computer recently such as added new software (including updates), new hardware or made any alterations to your setup that might account for this? Can you do a System Restore to a time before this happened?Do you have a backup of your system that you could re-install from? What sound system do you have? Have you tried re-installing the software and drivers for it?
Rexisfed
I don't think I've made any changes that could affect it.
Rexisfed
Bump, could somebody please help me? I would really like to be able to record sound again.
Scarecrow Man
I am not sure how a computer can record sound played by the speakers without the use of a microphone, which would reduce sound quality.I did however, find this site which guides you to record your sound card's output. Does this work?http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=1310145
Rexisfed
Nope, I followed all the instructions on that site and it still is not working.
dadyassa
I just followed it and it worked ok for me, but you can only record for 1 min on the windows recorder. Download Jet audio here and record as long as you like.Tick box for what you want to record from.
