I don't know if anyone has been reading these serialisation's in the Mail , but, not that I want to kick a man when he's down .....but isn't blazingly obvious that this man is utterly unsuitable to be a member of the cabinet ....? ever ...? or a reliable member of a political party

The man is not "down" as you put it. He is earning millions in "fees" from the serialisation rights from at least one newspaper, probably more; from public speaking and lecture tours here and overseas. What he can effectively lecture on, one can only surmise but you can guarantee he don't come cheap.

All defunct and discarded politicians get more than the dreams of avarice after they've been chucked out. Look at Thatcher doing her speaking tours in the USA. Look at Aitken - a convicted criminal now making a very nice living, thank you very much and preaching the virtues of being a born again Christian. Look at Archer - once chairman of the Conservative Party - another convicted crook. Look at all the alcoholics amongst them some known, many unknown. The sexual weirdos - who dress up in football gear or do odd things with electrical flex, mandarin oranges, womens stockings and suspender belts (Steven Milligan in case you want to look that one up).

The list goes on and on and on, not necessarily convicted crooks but there ain't one of them who's short of a few quid.

As for being suitable for political office or a member of a political party - you can ask that question of many or most of the politicians these days, irrespective of party.

A pox on the lot of them.

Edit. Steven Milligan was PPS to Aitken.

Isn't this too true of many of the politicians?

I have not personally read anything about this subject as I don't buy comics. The only newspapers that we read are the free local ones.
