Chris
I've got a *.reg file with a few registry entires but I cannot find where the following entries are in the registry:View Classic View in Control PanelUse Classic Start MenuDisable Inactive IconsThey of course will not be named like the above in the registry, but they are proving a little hard to find. That's not to say that they cannot be found as there could be several keys for one change.Anyone know where I would find the above keys?On XP SP2. cozofdeath
Hope these help...HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\EnableAutoTrayEnableAutoTray accepts DWORD values. A DWORD value of 1 enables Show Inactive Icons in the Notification Area. Deleting the key will disable it.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\ForceClassicControlPaneldword:00000000[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]"NoSimpleStartMenu"=dword:00000000
