They are usually 100% behind daft new laws in the EEC, and complain about the odd law that we fight against, and yet we implement more of these silly laws than other countries. The French, having approved them then proceed to turn a blind eye, and ignore them.What finished me completely with the French occurred a few short years ago. It was one of the times when their bolshi part time farmers were once again kicking up stink, and blockading the roads. On one such occasion the police stood by and watched while the farmers set fire to British lorries carrying live British lambs. This was there for all to see on the T.V.news and cannot be denied.Research published a couple or so years ago, showed that the French use more perfume than any other country in Europe, but use far less soap and toothpaste. In other words they don't bother about removing the muck, they just disguise the smell.I really don't think that it is racist to dislike any of the above. I am always polite to individual French people, and do not discriminate against individuals. I just dislike the whole ethics of that country. A large portion of the country during the second world war, collaborated with the nazis, and was run by the vichy government.popeye welcome to the club. A very large area of France actually welcomed the Nazi's, with streets lined with cheering people. There were trials after the war, of the leaders of the Vichy government. A quite large area was never actually occupied because of this cooperation. On he other hand, in other area's there was a strong resistance, with many brave people loosing their lives. Even today however, many French people believe that we deserted them at Dunquerque, not appreciating the fact that those soldiers who got away, returned later as part of the invasion force that freed them, and that had those soldiers stayed, no good would have been achieved with their capture or death. The one thing that I did find out that I liked when there was snails, quite delicious with garlic butter as I also love garlic. To my immense shame I also ate frogs legs and enjoyed them. Since which I have seen a film on TV showing how they get them. Most come from Indonesia. They are a large breed of frog, and the Indonesians sit in front of a large blade and slice off each leg in turn whilst the frog is still alive. The legs are thrown into one basket for shipment to France, while the still live body is tossed into another one for disposal later on. I can assure you that any garlic I buy is definitely not French. When I buy snails I ensure that they are from this country, there are now several snail farms in order to satisfy the British market. One of the very few good things to come out of France is some of the classical music. I do enjoy Saint Seans, Berlioz etc etc.The hunchback is no where near as andsome as me.
