branbran31 Posted November 17, 2006 Report Share Posted November 17, 2006 Hello, first my volume icon disappeared from the bottom right toolbar, and I've tried everything under the sun to get it back, but nothing worked.Also, my volume doesn't work with some websites, and it does with others. One site it doesnt work with is the YOUTUBE site and any other site that plays those type of applications, like movie trailers and such. I use the driver that came with the computer, and I run XP. The volume was very low and nothing I did would make it any louder.I did a cold re-boot (including turning the power to the computer off). It was OK after that.Have you tried a cold re-boot? I checked all my levels, although, my cd player and other media applications work. It's just certain players on websites do not.I went through internet options, I even checked on my sound card, but like I said, its hasn't completely stopped. I went through some steps that took me through the Start>Run>config stuff. I went to the Register Key and took steps through that HCKEY file. Can't think of the other things that I've tried. Hope this helps....And yes I did a cold reboot, shut it all down and let it set for like 30 minutes, then rebooted everything....nothing..Thank you very much, B Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Can you tell me how to do it? I thought I had removed something I shouldn't have from the add/remove page.
