i've got 2 questions about MicroSoft Paint:

1. how can i make it prompt if i want to make my pasted selection fit the border, or leave the border the same size and keep other parts of my pasted selection from being displayed?

2. i remember that i used to have a paint [on windows] which was able to remove 1 specified color. does anyone know why that isnt possible anymore, and -if it isnt MS Paint- which application that is?

I think the removing one colour can be done if you click the eraser, choose a colour and click the area, but I could be wrong.

no it isnt:

i want the old-school options from Paint {promting and [not neccessarely] the single color eraser}

if i want a photo manipulatoin program i will use The GIMP {RULES THEM ALL!!! > its better as PS}

I agree GIMP is quite powerful, but I do not know of these features in mspaint.

im not quite sure this was MS Paint

but it used to be standard with Windows [95 {and 98?}]

and you dont know about the prompt thing?

The border part, if I understand correctly, is quite simple. If your image is too large for the current size of the canvas (the white area) it will ask if you want it enlarged. If you paste an image smaller than the border, you will not be asked.

but this seems to be disabled in windows XP

At present, I am using Mspaint for masks in Proshow Producer 4.5. I am doing fine, I think, with the black background, ut I can't find out how to move text within the background rectangle. I could use some help.
