please help

Hi i'm new to the forums my problem is really weird i don't know how to solve it or how did i manage to get it... anyway this is a picture of someone who has the same problem as me not the same system specs but the same error message when i open a folder containing video files.

WMP will not play videos on its own. Do you have the correct codecs installed?

If you don't have them, you can download a pack of codecs for free from click here.

Has your machine always behaved like this or is the problem new?

If it's recently changed then a System Restore should be able to return the machine back to what it was.

i don't know when the problem surfaced all i know is i downloaded the k-lite codec pack during the instalation found some broken codecs and repaired them then i uninstalled the k-lite codec pack and i think it works.I will update to tell you guys if it's stable thanks for the help
