savak Posted December 21, 2006 Report Share Posted December 21, 2006 HiI had to install another copy of XP after a crash and was able take ownership of the two user accounts under the old system. My problem is I cannot delete the old users folders, I have deselected the Read Only option for the folders but still come across a file that is write protected, 1033.mst. I have tried logging in as an administrator and also in Safe Mode but can't delete the file. The harddrive is NTFS so can't boot from floppy to delete under Fat32. Scarecrow Man Posted December 21, 2006 Report Share Posted December 21, 2006 Removing them in Safe Mode should work.Just make sure you aren't deleting anything you need.
