CMOS/GPNV checksum badPress F1 to load default. -pops- Posted January 3, 2007 Report Share Posted January 3, 2007 CMOS bad checksum combined with a failure of the clock is a good indicator that the battery needs replacement.I have had two new motherboards in the past where the battery didn't function and I've also had new batteries that didn't function.
