I can only assume that some filling in of details has been made before its return ergo the document needs to be capable of alteration or have I misunderstood? Alexis Blaze Posted January 9, 2007 Report Share Posted January 9, 2007 well... that's kinda weird request... why would you want an exact document to be sent to you??to do this all you have to do is give the document a password.. go to "save as"... then on the "save as" dialogs go to "tools" then "security option"...fill in the "password to modify".. but don't fill in the "password to open" because you want the person to be able to open it right? then click "ok"...then re-enter the password... AlanHo Posted January 9, 2007 Report Share Posted January 9, 2007 In Word 2003 you can protect just a part of a document and leave the rest editable.You highlight the area you want to leave editable and click the protect button to lock the rest.
