Internet Explorer [6] Toolbars

i have another problem:

in Internet Explorer [6] the McAfee SiteAdvisor toolbar and the Neowin.net toolbar are mixed up:

if you click to disable the MA toolbar, it disables the Neowin.net toolbar, and the other way around

strange enough this problem doesnt occure in the Windows Explorer or the My Computer Explorer

and i have another question: is it normal that you can have all toolbars enabled in Windows Explorer?

I had the same problem with two toolbars a few months ago - but they were not the same toolbars as you have listed. I learned to live with the problem and only made a cursory attempt at eliminating the problem. The problem was eventually cured when I upgraded to IE7.

good to know that i aint the only one with this problem, but in this case, this doesnt really help me

i had a look at the registry [Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbars] and saw that the McAfee SA was listed above the Neowin toolbar

maybe changing the names of these values will work, but i first want to know if this is save to do

btw: this problem occures after i installed the McAfee SA, reinstalling the Neowin toolbar doesnt solve this

If you export your registry to the desktop then do your changes, if it goes pear shaped you can access safe mode and restore the registry from the desktop shortcut.

i already found a cure!!!

you need to reset the IE toolbar positions

its save to use this file

i used it too!, and it worked perfectly!!!!
