star Posted January 18, 2007 Report Share Posted January 18, 2007 Ok........I need to up grade my computer to XP.......I have "Windows ME" I understand that "ME" can not be up graded to Professional Addition, can it beupgraded with the XP Home Addition? I want to buy one of the XP's if my system can Handle it.I was told "ME" could not.for the professional.......But maybe Home Addition could just wanted to be sure. I don't want anyunwanted problems. Thanks for your suggestion guess it would help if I knew a little more about computers,I learning. I have learned to switch the camera cards to the camera that is loaded on the computer. It says for Window's 2000, nothing aboutWindows ME. I have not tried to do it with the USB cable a lone. HOW WOULD IT KNOW.I also have the printer (Kodal EasyShare) for it and I wouldn't be able to print other pictures off the computer. I went to the Kodak site last night. Before I could get that download I needed RICHED32.DLLSo I had to download and set up and register the library file. Then the EasyShare downloaded went fine.The suggestion about the USB cable. Yes it did load the picture to the computer. I can print a picture with thecamera only from the dock printer. I will not be able to Transfer the pictures from the Camera Dock to the Computerwith the one touch button. SOoooooooo, What about if I up grade for now to Window's 2000 with Service Pack 4?I will have to check on that to see if you can still be purchase Window's 2000 and hopefully it come with the Service Pack.Thanks a bunch!!
