windownxp
Hi all, it's my first time so be gentle. When i start up my computer a window appears saying SERVER BUSY, under this in the same box it reads-this action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose "switch to" to activate the busy program and correct the problem, under this are three tabs=switch to/retry/cancelI have tried closing the window and clicking all three tabs but the box comes straight back for each option, it gives no information on what the other program is, i have to drag the box to the bottom of the page so i can work, it still shows server busy as an active program in the bottom tool bar
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum! Is this something that suddenly started some time ago? To me this sound like some kind of malware, especially if you cannot see the program name in the title bar of the pop-up.Please let me ask youDo you have any antivirus software installed? Which?Do you have any anti-spyware installed? Which?Do you have a firewall installed? Which? Also, are you up-to-date with Windows updates? We may/will have some further questions after you answer the above, but we will eventually get to the bottom of this. -pops-
As Pat says, it is most likely some sort of malware. The message itself means that there is a lack of system resources - indicating that whatever is causing the problem is very busy and if it is malware/spyware, most likely transmitting its payload to its masters.I suggest you URGENTLY carry out to recommendations of Pat and come back to us.
