cerio Posted January 30, 2007 Report Share Posted January 30, 2007 Hi.I hope I'm not repeating a question but I did a search and found no similar one...My PC has taken to displaying the wrong time in the system tray. When I double click it and go to 'date and time properties' I can usually correct it by re-synchronising it, though now I'm getting 'an error occurred while Windows was synchronising...' and the time remains unchanged and completely wrong. It is usually hours ahead, not days ahead, if that means anything. I get the same error with both time.nist.gov and with time.windows.com, the two options in properties.I haven't installed anything new or downloaded anything other than email around the time it started this.Can anyone tell me why my PC has suddenly taken to displaying the time incorrectly?Regards,Ceri Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

cozofdeath Posted January 31, 2007 Report Share Posted January 31, 2007 You could try unchecking "Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server", then set the clock manually to your time and date then try the synchronization again.Also make sure the Windows Time service is Started and set to Automatic.
