baggers
im having problems making a data disc. it's only recently started happening. when i go to cd writing wizard i usually click on make data disc so i can put more tracks on it. but when i click on data disc now, it says "cannot complete the cd writing wizard" "there was an error in the writing process. the disc you have attempted to write may no longer be usable."what does this mean? it couldn't be anything to do with the discs as i tried it with the same discs it worked on a while ago. and i bought brand new discs to try just in case, and they have the same problem. is there anything i can do to fix it?also, when im copying cds using nero, it get all the way up to 100% done then it just stops and doesnt finish? could these problems be connected?cheers
Scarecrow Man
You may want to make sure DMA is enabled on your CD drive. http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/storage/IDE-DMA.mspxAlso, do you know whether you are finalizing the session, or the disc? A finalized disc cannot have data added to it after the finalization is done.

andsome
Are you using Windows CD wizard? I never did get on with that, Nero is relatively cheap and the results are far more consistent.

Sometime I got a CD and sometimes I got a coaster. Nero solved all the problems. If Windows does it for you then stick with it . :D

Then load the same CD immediatley, and try to burn another file.
