Alan2273
Could you clarify a few things, You have an external USB hard drive that will not connect. And have you done fresh installs of Windows and Linux, I ask because Windows and Ubuntu should mount the USB drive automatically. Alan2273
Can you try the USB drive on another computer, to see if it is at fault, also have you got any other USB devices to try out, to see if they are mounted
Arek
Yes. The HD works on my bro's computer. I'll also try to use a webcamera. In 2 min. I'll be done.

Alan2273
Sorry I am out of ideas, the fact that it would not mount in Widows or Ubuntu made me think it was a faulty drive, but as it works on your brothers computer thats me shot down in flames. In Ubuntu you could give this a try.http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/sh...ad.php?t=201441

-pops-
Is the USB drive seen in Disk Management?(RIGHT click on My Computer, click on Manage -> Disk Management)
Arek
Yes. I had tried that. It sees my 3 partitions. NTFS is for Windows. The other 2 are used for Linux. I can recongnize this by counting the GB's.
