This is the first time I've got wireless network so I'm pretty noob in it.The problem is : When I try to connect to the internet thrue my router it says that signal strength : Excellent, but when I've conected to internet it says to me that signal strength : Poor ....and the icon of the two computers near to the where clock is situated, shows me picture with only one column(the first one and the lowest one)...But internet works fine...What shoul I do to fix it?Than u for your time Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

-pops- Posted April 11, 2007 Report Share Posted April 11, 2007 Re-installing your operating system is an extremely drastic measure to take to remedy something which, to me, doesn't seem to be a real problem.Lots of people quite happily run their computers without ever looking at the technical aspects of the way they work. This may be appropriate here. You say that the computer operates the way it should so expressing concern about something that lots of users don't even know exists is causing you unnecessary concern.There is a saying in England: "What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over." Scarecrow Man Posted April 11, 2007 Report Share Posted April 11, 2007 could it be, the bars mean how much activity is currently on the network, and not signal strength?You could also try disabling NetworkMagic and using the default Windows Wireless Configuration to connect to the network.
