I've already tried the method that repuired to create a new string value in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetState] and set the value "yes", but didn't work. The problem happened when i uninstalled the Windows Desktop Search. Any way, when i do a search either from the start menu or select the search tab, i get the belowAs you can see to the left it's not search companion,,why?? But note, i can still get to search companion, only but selecting the "Internet" under the "Search for other items:". When search companion is up, i've tried changing the "Change files and folders search behavior" already, doesn't work.Help plz :) Thanks dudes Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If not, please explain.Windows Search Companion is an utillity that enables you to search files on your system, i usually use it to find files that i can't locate or i have no idea where it is. And it's not a third party software, it comes with every windows xp version.Ahhh! you mean the little doggie.How long has this been missing?
