Please help!

In an attempt to resolve my low disk space problems...

I have a master 30gb hd with Windows installed on it.

And another 250 250gb slave hd w/o windows.

My small HD is full and is bringing up many errors on my comp.

I installed a program called Acronis disk director suite..

I copied my windows partition and moved it to a 50 gb partition on my bigger hd..so now its on both hd's..

I made the newer bigger hd master and teh smaller one slave..

OS could not load.

Then I went back to normal and it worked fine...

WHat else can I do to solve this problem of lo disk space in the windows partition.

I have my operating system and all my programmes on my master hard drive - with all data, photos, videos etc on other hard drives.

The total hard disc space currently used by the operating system (Vista) and all programmes is 16 GB.

You must have a lot of programmes installed to fill a 30 GB drive - or are you also storing data there as well. If so - my suggestion would be to leave the OS and programmes where they are and move all data and documents to the bigger drive.

First step: install and run CCleaner; download it from here, and get the basic or slim version only. Run CCleaner once it is installed. Don not scan for 'issues'.

Next step: check your system for malware. Do you have anti-virus and anti-spyware software installed? If so, what?

You can move folders, such as My Documents to a different partition, or hard drive.

Just right click the My Documents folder on the Start Menu, and specify a new location. A different partition is good practice, but for better protection and prevention of data loss, I recommend a different hard drive.
