deuces wild
My desktop case cooling fan is going and I want to replace, but with one that is *very quiet*.92mm, 12v. Any recommendations?
-pops-
Quietpc specialises in quiet components. I know the link is for a UK company but the same brand products will be available from companies in the US.I would also suggest anti-vibration mountings (see elsewhere on the Quiet PC link) - the rubber bolts are good and cheap. I achieved a really useful reduction in transferred noise (vibration from fan to case) by using these.

-pops-
Quietpc may not be the cheapest but they do specialise in items for making computers quiet and I buy a lot of things from them that can't be obtained elsewhere very easily.I hate noisy computers (just as I hate background music!) -pops-
DW, I only gave the link for you to gauge what is available. I don't think it would be practical for you to buy them via Quietpc - considering they are in Scotland and you are in the US the carriage costs would outweigh the value of the item.I'm sure all of the fans in the list will be available local to you. -pops-
The have a site in the US.Oh! I didn't know that. I remember when the business started in a very small way by two friends in the garden shed (or equivalent).
