Teyrn
Hi, can anyone offer any help on this one... I have a Photosmart C4180 All in one printer. I have installed it and it photocopys and prints perfectly but it will not scan... it just cannot see the scanner, when you try to access it is says error code 19.Looking in device manager where the printer is i have a nice yellow circle with exclamation mark in the middle. To date I have uninstalled/installed software 6 times... uninstalled composite USB, bought a new USB lead in case the one I had was faulty... and it just wont have it... even HP support have handed it over to the "Tech Guys".Any advice greatfully appreciated... :(
andsome
Have you tried reinstalling it? If it's new why not give them a call?

-pops-
I can understand your frustration. Printers and scanners can be devils to get working properly and when they are combined in the same unit - even more difficult. If you are changing the registry (or doing anything within the depths of Windows) make doubly sure you have a backup before embarking on the work.
