mcb2001
Web 2.0, what is it all about... well this is a good place to start if you are really interestedhttp://f6design.com/journal/2006/10/21/the...esign-of-web-20Good design... with some nice visual exampleshttp://www.webdesignfromscratch.com/current-style.cfm <--- I really like this one!Well, to be honest, i developed webpages for quite some years now, and this "web 2.0" still haven't caught my attention. Its EXACTLY the same as its always been.Flash - just a newer version. (faster but same idea)HTML - just a newer version (4.1 and XMHTL - made usable with XML and added more diversity by using CSS as typographically)Javascript - somewhat the same. (just plain scripting)CSS - just a newer version (2.0 - added alot more typegraphical setup, and made it more diverse)So my point is, you CAN buy nice looking webpages, but taking a couple of weeks out of your calender and you can make em aswell - further more i dont like the pop'ish idea of calling it WEB 2.0 since its just a continuous development of the same. mcb2001
But with that said, i do enjoy the looks of the site you mention - it shows that they made quite an effort to get i just right, and it sure looks smooth and inviting.
Mike567
the main idea of web 2.0 is to involve the visitors more like letting them select a theme and all that stuff.Personally I've had one client that actually said they wanted the new web 2.0 style and was good fun to design.but i have noticed that its a hell of a lot of ajax amazing script though have to love it!
