AlanHo Posted July 1, 2007 Report Share Posted July 1, 2007 I am having a problem playing video and audio links from some sites using IE7 - but they play OK using Mozilla Firefox.For exampleWhen I click on a video link I get a message telling me that Adobe Flash Player 8 or above must be installed - but the player will not install because IE7 blocks it. I have fiddled with the security settings but without success.I hope this thread does not result in a debate about the virtues and vices of IE7 versus Mozilla. andsome Posted July 1, 2007 Report Share Posted July 1, 2007 I am puzzled Alan. I have found IE7 to be perfect for me. I have used links to videos etc with no bother at all. When I previously had a similar problem in the days before IE7, I had to completely uninstall Flash using their own uninstaller, followed by a clear out with CC. Since than I have had no problems.Hope this helps. I agree with your point about the automatic reply some people will offer, such as get rid of IE. AlanHo Posted July 1, 2007 Author Report Share Posted July 1, 2007 Thank you guys - done and dusted - IE7 now working fine after uninstalling and reinstalling Flash PlayerHOWEVER - after I did this, Mozilla stopped working and asked for Flash Player to be installed.
