Boris
andsomeI believe that the Sound Recorder being referred to is an integral part of Windows It can normally be found under Programs / Accessories / EntertainmentBrief description of using it hereblujakxDo you still have the actual file ? - which should normally be found in C:\Windows\system32\ - called sndrec32.exeOr is it just the shortcut that is missing ?There are different versions of the file, depending on your Operating System DetailsHave you tried running the XP System File Checker ?Press Start, Run, and then type in SFC /scannow This causes SFC to scan your system immediately. It can take a few minutes to run. It validates the digital signatures of all of the Windows system files and restores any that it finds are incorrect.Have your installation CD available in case SFC needs to replace damaged/missing files.
