AlanHo
I have been a fan of CCleaner for a few years and always do clean-up before taking my weekly back-ups. Since upgrading to from XP to Vista I have noticed a slight problem - it finds the usual batch of registry issues and appears to fix them - but if you scan again immediately after getting CCleaner to fix them quite a few re-appear. They have not been fixed and no matter how many times you run CCleaner the same entries resolutely re-appear. I have found that if you right click on the CCleanr desktop icon and select "Run as administrator" - the programme runs fine and fixes all selected issues. Scarecrow Man
This is because of the UAC in Vista. Running the program as Administrator should clear your problem, as you have stated. :)Go to the CCleaner Forum - http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showforum=4Type Vista into the search box, and you will see several threads where people are experiencing the same issue. The resolution is to run as Administrator.
