Mike567
I'm not sure what their called but the old laptops they don't use the touchpad (please tell me the name). But it seems to stick so i get a wandering cursor which I have to fix by pushing it all over the place, is their a better way to stop it not really that easy to get at to clean it. Dencandy
Hello Mike567, what came before touchpads? I don't know. You mean curser keys? Anyway, get yourself a plug-in mouse or keyboard, go to Device Manager and dissable the 'thing' that keeps malfunctioning. Good luck. Boris
Before touch pads there were on some laptops a tiny mini-joystick thing (don't know the proper name)Well done Gagaman - that's what it was :)I think it's called a 'trackpoint'

Dencandy
I remember now, it was a "trackball", wasn't it? Anyway, my advice still stands. There might be some software to install with the mouse or keyboard, but they're cheap enough these days.
Scarecrow Man
You should be able to disable in in Device Manager, or if the laptop supplies software to manage that type of thing it can be turned of via that program.
