andsome
Here we go yet again. Isn't it about time that we had legislation such as extra tax against these companies who persist in ripping us off? Something that would wipe out their greedy profits. :(
catgate
Why tax? It seems as though the first thought of a cure for everything is tax. What is wrong with a straight forward "thou shalt not under pain of jail"?. The tax route and/or fines in this case would simply jack the price up even higher to pay for them. If profit margins above a certain percentage were automatically all taken in tax, then profit margins would have to stay below that point. Have a look at all those companies, and their chairmen, who are classed as non dom and pay so little tax that they can afford to throw money at which ever party is in power as either gifts. loans or other "support".
