In answer to your question. Yes there is a way thay you can disable apps from opening on startup.Follow this line of procedure: (which by the way is the normally accepted way to do this and requires no other third party software)GO TO:Start / Run / type msconfig into the box and press OK / This will bring up the System Configuration Utility / click on the Startup tab / you can now untick any programs that you do not wish to open at startup.This will not remove or delete any programs or software from your computer. Is it a good idea to get people to install even more software onto an already slow running PC ?That by the way is not criticism just a think through.I would have thought something like, click here for: AUTORUNS would serve better if at all needed, as there is nothing to buy or install. A big advantage it has over msconfig and MS autorun is that it is relatively safe and tells you what is and what is not needed at startup.Incorrect use of msconfig can result in a computer that won't start at all.From what I have seen of Autoruns, it most certainly isn't for the casual computer user. Sorry for that.Autoruns is a very powerful tool, but absolutely not for the inexperienced user. Autoruns lets you disable practically everything in the system, and it does not give out explanations or recommendations as Startup Inspector does.
