issue with DVD-R disks

Hello, I have been experiencing problems with my DVD and specificly disks with -R written on them, all other DVD's and CD's work just fine.also "Safely Remove Hardware" Icon at the tray.

Here is the windowthat pops up after double clicking on the tray :

And the window that opens after pressing Stop:

And it cannot be stopped.

I am confused. Is it the DVD writer you wish to remove or the disk itself? If you are wanting to remove the disk all you need do is press the button on the front of the writer. The disk will not be ejected until it is ready to do so.

The Safely remove hardware facility is for the safe disconnection of USB or Firewire devices from a powered up computer. It only requires a single mouse click to bring up the devices likely to be removed in this way (external drives etc.).

Double clicking the icon offers a different screen where non-USB/Firewire components (such as IDE/SATA drives) and possibly other things unlikely to be disconnected (USB printers etc.) are listed. This should never be required in normal circumstances and certainly not without a thorough knowledge of what is involved.

Is your DVDRW an external one?.

It is the dvd player , internal player within the computer which cannot read DVD disks with the R-. It has nothing to do with USB. Also apparently the device which it wants to safely remove is the hard disk , which I don't know how it is related.

But the error and the malfunction came exactly at the same time.

The SATA hard drive is treated as a removable drive as it can be hot plugged, so I do not think that has anything to do with your problem.

All SATA hard drive show up in the safely remove hardware icon in the system tray.

As to the problem with your DVDRW could it be a batch of faulty disks, have you tried other disks?.

firstly I have never had this icon in the tray about the hard drive, and all the disks with -R don't work. All of them worked fine before.
