php111
Hi,How do i take the 3 floppy files of MS-DOS 6.22 and how do i create an bootable CD? I know many of years ago in my first PC it had an floppy drive so that was easier but this PC does not have a floppy drive. If i make DOS on a CD do i need to create it as 3 CD's just like floppies? Would it prompt me for all 3 CD's? I know it prompts for all 3 floppies.

-pops-
Would MS DOS 6.22 be aware of the existence of CDs?The boot software is downloadable from http://www.svrops.com/svrops/dwnlddisk.htm (scroll two thirds down the page).I'm doubtful it will be usable in the way you want.Does seem very strange - sort of ancient and modern

Boris
Alternatively you could use a USB floppy drive to install from your existing disks ?

-pops-
I've given you a link from which it can be downloaded all you have to do then is burn it to a CD.I'm very doubtful about this whole notion, though.
Boris
Why not fit a normal floppy drive in your PC (if the motherboard has a connector)or .............. USB floppy drive - only £16.99 (delivered) :)http://www.storagedepot.co.uk/USB-and-Fire...CFQQdEgodzxvNwQ
-pops-
Having just read your other current query, are you sure you want to do this? You could easily wreck the whole system if it goes wrong.Even if you do go ahead, learn a bit more about Vista first and also ensure you have full backups of your working system.
