The weather was exceptionally kind to us, the narrowboat performed faultlessly and was very comfortable because it had two king-size bedded cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom and a well equipped galley. We only cooked on the boat twice and enjoyed the food and wine of local hostelries as we went on our way.there was only one minor disappointment - despite plying the girls with copious amounts of wine and spirits - neither of them fell in. Perhaps as well - they might then have fell out.I would thoroughly recommend a canal holiday for those who enjoy the outdoors and a quiet and scenic holiday mixed with plenty of (lock work) exercise.
