the2ems
Each time I boot up I get a message which says VMSnap23.exe has ancountered a problem and needs to close. I get the option to report or not to report. Whichever I click on the message goes, and there don't appear to be any effects.Any advice please? Irene
The first thing I would do is to try to prevent it from loading on boot up.You could download Startup Inspector, which is easy to use. Once it is installed, just click consult and it will list all of the programs in your startup. Look for the VMSnap23 and uncheck the box beside it. Then close down Startup Inspector and reboot. On the main screen of Startup Inspector, there is a key on the bottom left-hand side which identifies if the file(s) are important to your system or not. You can go through the list again later, once you heave dealt with the VMSnap file.CLICK HERE FOR DOWNLOADThis is just the basics, but I am sure someone with more extensive knowledge about that file type will be able to tell you more.I also found this comment in one of the results of a Google search on VMSnap.exe....Important: Some malware camouflage themselves as VMSnap23.exe, particularly if they are located in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder. Thus check the VMSnap23.exe process on your pc whether it is pest.
