Windows XP and Outlook express 6

Hi,

In the past I have used Windows 98 and Outlook express 5. When I started to make a new e-mail, I could find below the "Subject" the buttons which allowed me to choose the writing (the style of letters, the size and colour).

Now in XP where I have Outlook express 6, I can't find these buttons. How to make them workable?

I know that I can go to the menu and make it from there, but this is a longer way. Is Outlook 6 wizhout these buttons, or I just don't know how to install them?

In version Outlook express 5 (windows 98) there are already buttons below the "Subject" for each new e-mail. You don't need to go to the Tools/Options/Compose every time.

Is there really no possibility in Outlook exprress 6 in XP?

At the bottom of this tab, select HTML as the default Mail Sending Format.

Thanks a lot. It works fine with the Windows 98, but with the XP it doesn't work. I don't understand why.

Can you explain "doesn't work" - is your message in HTML format?

I use Outlook, not Express, but they are similar.

My guess would be that you need to include the Format toolbar. In Outlook, this is done by doing a right-click at the top of a new mail screen (in the toolbar area) and from the short menu, choose Format. This will then show the options of font, size, colour etc.

Worth a try in your Express. :)

Thanks to all for your help. I have tried it at home and the advice from Scarecrow works fine, but with the computer at my job, it doesn't work. I suppose it has something to do already with the instalarion of the Windows...
