AlanHo Posted November 13, 2007 Author Report Share Posted November 13, 2007 Article in Daily Mail last saturday stating that the government are to review women's pensions who never paid the full stamp.My bet is that Brown will make political capital out of this sooner, rather than later.It will probably not cost the government all that much - women on tiny pensions who lack a partner or other financial support will already be in receipt of pension credit or whatever it is called nowadays. If their pension is increased, the pension credit will be commensurately reduced, so they will be no better off. Watchful Posted November 13, 2007 Report Share Posted November 13, 2007 That's how it always is with benefits Alan but the one advantage to Pension Credit is that you don't have to pay Council Tax so that is very handy for the people on low incomes/pensions.
