tommymitch
I have installed a program (CD Label Print - Comes with Canon Pixma ip4200 printer) on my home computer.Installation worked and the program is installed, however - when I go to open it up, it will not go into the actual program, as it recognizes the printer is not connected to the computer (which it isn't - it's on my desk at work!!)My question is:Is there anyway I can get into this program, despite actually having the printer plugged into the computer.I simply want to be able to get into the program to edit some labels, then save them to a flash drive, and take them to work for printing...Or even, if I were to plug the printer in for the initial time I load the program, then if I were to unplug it, would the program load up a second time?Or would it give me the same error message that the compatible printer is not connected to the computer?PLEEEEEEASE HELP! -pops-
I doubt very much that you would be able to "fool" your computer into thinking a printer is installed when it, in fact, isn't.I have several printers attached to my main computer and if I inadvertently instruct one to print when it is not switched on, a message comes on screen telling me that "Printer is not available". If only the printer software is installed, I can't guess what the message would be.

-pops-
I don't have a Canon disk printer but I do use an Epson one.I've just tried to use the disk printing facility with the printer switched of. It goes through the motions of working but then fails with the Printer not available message and I can't get any further with it.
