Mike567
I have a Compaq Evo n400c.I look on their site and the display drivers are only xp.I looked through google and I can't find any win2k drivers. If i use the XP drivers, i get the damn bluescreen of death, any idea on how to fix this or where I can find the drivers?Heres the drivers page: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechS...p;swEnvOID=1098
trackrat
According to the HP site there are no drivers for 2K available.Which is strange considering they sold it at first with 2K on.
Mike567
Exactly, I thought that XP Home would be the closest to 2k but it doesn't work.I really don't want to go down another step to 98.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Di you buy it with Win2K on it? If so, didn't it come with a disk with all drivers on it?
Mike567
Brought it off a friend, had XP on it.no disks at all.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I want a faster laptop :D.That's a funny reply! I have a laptop with both 2K and XP on it, and XP is very much faster than 2000.
Mike567
Really depends on what you are running.XP uses up a lot more resources itself where as 2k doesn't use up as much. For now though 2k is faster than the xp that was on it :). ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
XP uses up a lot more resources itself where as 2k doesn't use up as much.Yes, that's right - XP uses up a lot more resources, and is therefore a lot faster! Of course, only if you have the resources. You cannot successfully run XP on a computer that was built for 9x.

Mike567
My laptop only has something stupid like 64mb's of RAM so I don't have the resources :P, so its much much slower.Would have been nice to go back to 98 but lost my serial code for it.I did find the driver, so no more need to look :). pa1916
W2000 with only 64MB of Ram IS THE MINIMUM SPEC so it would be slowthen you will have the 100MB of updates so you would require broadband.Your computer will run W98 WME none of these operating systems are supported as from July 2006.
