AlanHo
I am looking at the possible spec for a new computer I would like to build. It is to be used for normal Office activities (Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint etc), Internet browsing, Email, photo editing. music and video editing with the possibility of moving up to HDTV standard in the near future.I am having problems deciding on the graphics. It is possible that I may go for two widescreen monitors - hence I will need a graphics card with the ability to drive two DVI connected monitors at a minumim resolution of 1920 x 1050 pixels each monitor at a high frame rate. I am not interested in gaming - but most of the card specs I have looked at stress their merits in 3D rendering etc which presumably are features I do not need. The more I look at the bewildering number of models available - the more confused I get.Can anyone recommend a reliable and quiet PCI Express card with two DVI outputs that will satisfy my needs. Alan2273
As you are not interested in gaming you could try Matrox PCI-E cards.http://www.ciao.co.uk/Matrox_Millennium_P650__5432710
