BackNine29
Why is it that in Explorer, when I apply the Folder View as a "List view", this view does not keep in subsequent openings of Explorer? For some reason, the view defaults to Icon view.
Irene
I am sure it must be one of the options in, Tools, Folder Options, View.By the way, this would refer to XP. :)
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Also, are you using some kind of cleaning tool such as CCleaner? If so, check the configuration - some clean out the folder view.
Boris
If you have a lot of folders on your PC - look here :-http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813711This problem occurs because Windows stores each folder's view settings and customizations in the registry. By default, this data is limited. Originally it was for 400 folders in total but Service Pack 2 increased this figure. However, even if you have Service Pack 2 installed there is still a default limit. If your BagMRU Size as shown in the Workaround on the link above is already 5000 change the BagMRU Size to a higher figure - perhaps 9000 ? BackNine29
It appears it was a CCleaner issue. Many thanks.
