computer_says_no Posted December 22, 2007 Report Share Posted December 22, 2007 Any help much appreciated. I'm a little new to this but here goes...I've managed to lose 'my music'! I believe i inadvertently moved it from C: drive to F: (my iPod at the time when i was transferring music back onto my computer).Now I've deleted all files off my iPod, my computer no longer recognises a 'My Music' folder at all. I've tried renaming, creating a new folder etc but no joy. This would be fine but I can no longer run iTunes, which requires the dedicated 'My Music' folder.As an aside, where I really want 'My Music' is on G:, an external hard drive, but quite how to do that is even more of a mystery, especially now the folder is non-existant.Any help would make my Christmas.Many thanks. andsome Posted December 23, 2007 Report Share Posted December 23, 2007 Too late now of course, but why do you need to move the My Music folder? There is nothing to stop you creating a My Music folder on an external drive and keep your music there. There is no need to delete folders on the computer. I have My pictures folder on my C drive, with only bits and pieces in it, but keep ALL my photos on the D drive in a folder dedicated to Digital photos. :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As for system restore, I'll be honest; I'm not aware that I have that facility. Perhaps I'm being a little stupid here, but I certainly haven't been backing anything up, and unaware of any software on my dell laptop that is doing it for me.So presume it's a case of rebooting XP??Thanks again.
