Drives can't be open

Hi friends,

Since 3-4 days ago, when i click on drive C-D-E the message appeares and i can't open drives. So that i have to do right click ans then select OPEN. What is the reason? Is it infected?

Please advise.

I attached picture of that error message for better finding.

It may be the result of malware ? - re. that pop-up box "KeyLogger"

The run-time 53 error message means :-

Error 53 indicates there is a file missing that Windows expected to locate in a specific place.

This usually occurs after you install some software and try to run the new program.

The problem is that one or more files were not installed or were corrupted during the installation.

Have you recently installed/removed anything called KeyLogger ? or had any other recent infections ?

As a cure - have you tried a System Restore back to a time before the problem started ?

Thanks for reply. I don't remember to remove any KeyLogger or Install KeyLogger.

I did System restore and problem is solved but thing is this i want to know that is beacuse of infection or just due to install/removal some softwares. Mercy!

Keyloggers most of the time are malware, and it normally installs without your permission and without you noticing it.

How can i find and remove it.

I am using Windows Defender and F-Secure as antivirus.

It's possible that F secure has already deleted the keylogger file, hence the reference to "file not found" in your error message.

However it's worthwhile running one of the online a/v scans found in the following thread

http://forums.windowsforum.org/index.php?showtopic=15568 to gain a second opinion.

It would also be worthwhile downloading, installing, updating and running superantispyware free from http://www.superantispyware.com/index.html as an extra antimalware app.

Thanks for your advise.

I install the Super AntiSpyware and did scanning and found some Malware and removed by software and now system is cleaned. But still problem is there.

If Keylogger is removed by F-Secure, is it harmfull for system and how can i recover?
