All of the web design packages nowadays translate wysiwyg into html behind the scenes and there is no need to know how to code yourself.

However, there are some guides on the Internet to give you a start. Google "html tutorial".

I found NVU (http://nvu.com/) a very easy-to-use free HTML editor. It's WYSIWYG, so you don't really need to know HTML.

However, it will be useful to know the syntax of some HTML; go to http://www.w3.org/html/ (under Learn) and get all the information you'll ever need.
