My problem is in trying to send large attachments by e-mail, in particular a video clip taken a couple of days ago. The clip is 45 MB and I keep getting messages to say it's too big. Had this before and put the problem on one side. So now I want to get the issue sorted. Tried splitting the clip to 100 kb using tools/properties/advanced/etc. It was most annoying as it went through the motions for 25 mins the gave me a long winded error message. I've attached a clip of the first part. Any suggestions as to how to go about this. I don't know where to start looking. catgate Posted January 2, 2008 Report Share Posted January 2, 2008 Have you tried Yahoo Mail or Google Mail. I am not suggesting they will do it. I've never tried, but the size limit is put on by the ISP...isn't it? Could it not be done by posting to a third party site and then e-mailing a link? Something like Photobucket. Will report success when I get a successful reply from friend in Singapore - when he opens his e-mails. It was a happy new year message to an old friend of the family and we took it yesterday after a hilarious family meal. Hopes he enjoys the atmophere! Even if you somehow manage to send it, the receiver's mail server may easily reject it if it exceeds a certain size (e.g. 10MB). There is also always a chance that the attachment gets corrupted.In professional environments, large files are usually transferred via FTP.
