jojo
I am unable to print my emails or anything from the Internet, but any files or pictures already on the computer print with no problems at all. I have a newish dual core computer running xp professional and I access the internet via AOL 9. My printer is a canon but I have also tried a Lexmark as well. any advice would be appreciated. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum.Printing is not done "from the Internet" or "from the local computer", but from an application. What application are you using to print emails? And what means "unable" - what happens if you try?
doug
I am posting the contents of jojo's PM here to save a lot of bother.I should have mentioned in the original post that I have been using computers for many years. I have no problems printing from the internet on other computers Its just my present system. When I attempt to print an email I open it and then either click on the print link at the top, or right click on the email and then select print. I usually use the right click method to print a web page if a printing link is not available. After I click on the print link nothing happens, no communication with the printer, no messages, the attempt to print is just ignored and the computer carries on as normal. Watchful
On the internet, have you tried using print from the 'File' drop-down menu?

Do you really think it is a windows problem or something weird in AOL 9, which I have never used before. I know it's not the printers as they work fine on a friends system who also has xp pro.
