i need to uninstall 2 drivers, but windows don`t let me.

i need to, because my sound doesnt work.

i tried to in device manager, but every time i try it, it says: "cannot uninstall,[..] might be needed to bootup computer."

it`s about these drivers:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-UAA/ Universal Audio Architecture (NO, i dont have SP3, it just installed. i didnt do ANYTHING)

it is supposed to be needed to install realtek HD audio on XP sp3.

-my sound driver (NOT working, NOT uninstalling, NOT giving ANY usefull hints whatsoever). name: audio driver on HD audio bus.

and when i click on properties it says: "No drivers are installed for this device.

If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter."

*when i click "update driver", it doesnt do anything.

i tried EVERYTHING, and it`s slowly pissing me off. :censored:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

does anyone has a solution?

ced.

you know what? i am gonna do what i always do when i have problems.

just reinstall the gotda** windows (AGAIN). it`s just something i do everytime wrong. the last install was less then a month ago.

my opinion about this: DONT install UAA on windows XP SP2. it just screws up the whole installation.

or at least make a system recovery point (i didnt. , i know i should, but i forgot.)

yeah, i know i should. but my install is so bad it doesnt last longer than a month.

as long as i keep screwing up my installs it`s no use making backups.

and btw: i use nLite to stream all things like my serial and all drivers. (which are sorta hard to find, because i have an vista laptop. all parts are not supported under XP so i have to search every driver on my own.)

as soon as i got an good install i back it up, but for now i havent got that.

thx everyone anyway.

:flowers: :D

Don't you keep an up-to-date full system backup? Much easier and quicker than doing a re-install. You don't incur the wrath of MS either by constantly re-activating the system.

i use activated versions (like XP pro corp, and vista home premium, from fujitsu siemens)

so installing doesnt take too long. B)
