So I fixed my windoze pc but it will not connect to my wireless connection, if I plug in my laptop it works perfectly fine (linux).

What is going on, its really bugging me, the wireless dongle is in exacly the same for the laptop and pc yet it will not connect on windows.

I have just set up a Linux box, a W98SE box and a W98SE laptop to a wireless BT2500V, The linux, as expected was no problem. Both the windows items were troublesome. The PCI card for the W98SE box was new but had to be replaced and even then I had to download new drivers for it from http://www.driverguide.com/ . The PCMCIA card also needed more up to date drivers installing from the same source.

My mistake was mixing up the notion of a network with the idea of just making connections to the router. WEP 64 was the thing. Oddly I find I have to sign in with a password even though it is not really a network.
